Heat Sink, Temperature Reading and Thermal Paste

Thread Starter
hello everyone,
i got confused between speedfan temperature and coretemp temperature readings. which 1 is more accurate? because, just now, i noticed the coretemp reading is hotter that speedfan reading (that i usually used).

did i need to re-seat the my heat sink? take into account that my room temperature is about 28-33C (Malaysia u know...)...

what type/brand/model of thermal paste did u reckon/recommended?

appreciate if you can help me...(considering that my last post didnt attract u people...)

thanks...

edit : Speedfan Idle : 33, Load : 55
Coretemp Idle : 47 Load : 72

only these kind of thermal paste available for now, which 1 is better?

Tuniq TX-2 High Performance Thermal Compound
Arctic Cooling MX-2 High Performance Thermal Compound
Thermalright Chill Factor Non-Conductive Thermal Paste
Zalman ZM-STG1 Super Thermal Grease
Arctic Silver Céramique

Use coretemp. Speedfan is not reporting correctly from what I have been reading over the last few weeks.

If your "Tj. Max" is 100 in Coretemp, your readings are correct.

Is your overclock only stable at that voltage, maybe try reducing it down a little.
Try lapping hsf, havnt ever tried it myself but may work.
Maybe try reseating the hsf, and make sure you dont go to mad with the compound just enough to cover the cpu surface.
