SLI/VISAT/GTS Help

Well- My first real Vista issue that I thought was related to my GTS' and still maybe.

I was letting my son play on Crysis and there was some crazy lag during all of the levels. I thought it was due to my beta drivers the 174.20 or something like that so I figured to get the drivers off the nvidia site. I uninstalled, then used drivercleaner pro then installed new drivers. Everything looks like it installed right nvidia installed asked me to re-boot so I did. Upon reboot after the vista logo my monitor tells me n0-signal. Try again, smae thing. then I tried to uninstall and re-install nothing. I tried each card alone same thing. They both boot up to vista fine untill I install nvidia drivers. I was scared thinking it was my GPU's but I don't think it is. I tried to boot up with my XP drive and what do you know...it's fine. Anybody have any suggestion? I was thinking that it could be a vista issues and may need to reformat. If that's the case should I just go get Vista 64 instead of using Vista 32.

A driver cleaner would fix it but the only driver cleaner that works in vista you have to pay for (atleast the only one I know)

I would try to boot vista in safe mode and change your reso... It sounds like it's just set too high for whatever reason... maybe because the drivers didn't install right or something similar.

Anybody else wanna try and help me. None of the above has helped. THis is crazy. I reformated to Vista 64 updated all the drivers to the WHQl one and after the Vista logo the screen goes to black. If I boot up into safe mode and uninstall the drivers the PC boots up just fine. I have tried one card at a time and does the same thing. I can hot swap my XP drive and boots up with no problem. It's can't be the cards, and my mobo gives me the FF code which is good. ANy ideas on this....

Different monitor to try it on? Have you tried updating the monitor drivers?

I have tried but...I use the Acer AL2216W and there are no drivers for Vista. Right now I am on My XP drive and so far there are no issues. I am about to give up and chuck this rig out the window.

Sounds like monitor drivers... to be honest, If it was video card it would most likely be a BSOD.

You're def not the only one having the problem.

Yes I can get into safe mode for a few times then after I install the dispaly drivers nothing. I can't get into safe mode it just hangs. I have just reformated again and do not know what to do. I have yet to install any drivers at this point. I have been to the acer website and the only direvers are for XP when I try do update my monitor driver vista tell me it's up to date. I know it's not. I have called evga several times and they have no idea. They say it's a Vista/software issue and there is nothing they can do. I even tried my GTX and get the same thing, I am so bummed out.
