SLI/VISAT/GTS Help - Page 2

Ok cool so at least we know it is a driver issue. So when you had it working before did you let windows auto install the driver?

From add/remove control panel - remove nvidia drivers. Before u restart, go to registry [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\Con tro l\\Video] - remove all keys underneath. Now restart.

Ignore the error when you boot into windows. Next install the new drivers, either manually by going to device manager and upgrading the current vista driver or maybe let windows pic a driver for you.

Do this. Scrap those Beta drivers. Get some of the 169.28 They work with SLI. Make sure you use Drivercleaner Pro to remove the other driver first.

I just think there is some leftover drivers somewhere. If you had it working and nothing is broke it's 99%+ a driver issue left over.

There is no driver leftover as I have reformated 4X. Anyways I have figured out a way around it and so far so good.

I forgot I have an old LCD NEC 21" laying around. I installed all the Vista hotfixes, mobo drivers then installed the display drivers. Same thing that happeded I received the "no signal" message and was about to throw the PC against the wall. I saw my old monitor, with the PC still on, I plugged in my old monitor and what do you know...ping, right to the desktop. So I changed the resolution to 1600x1200 enabled SLI let nvidia do it's thing. Unplugged the old monitor, plugged in the new and reset resolution to 1680x1050, rebooted, crossed my fingers (on one hand held the baseball bat with the other) and waited, post, vista logo, small pause...bam it loaded up .

Looks like this has to do with acer as they have no Vista drivers for their monitors.

Well thanks to all that helped and rep to all (+2 for 2Luke2 for all his help)

Ahh sweet glad you got it up and running. Yea I'm not sure, but I've seen that same problems with Linux/Solaris boxes and it always was the reso out of control or a driver issue. Back to gaming! hehe
