Help Please!! URGENT!!

Thread Starter
Hi, need some help as I am stuck as to what is the problem witht the rig.

First thing, I lapped my T.R.U.E. today, and after installing the HSF, the computer started fine the first time. After a restart by me, the computer turns on, but no display to my monitor. I don't have it overclocked, as I was about to. The bios is updated, matter of the fact, the computer was working fine before the lapping.

I have cleared the CMOS, reinstall the memory, graphics card, and the T.R.U.E, and still nothing.

Any help is appreicated, and I need to know quick as I might ran in the store to grab a GPU to try..

Check your cables from the PSU, something might have come loose and is now not making good contact. You could also take out, then put back in the graphics card.

What specifically does the computer do when you try to boot? Does it beep and make the normal startup sounds, or is it not going at all? If it sounds like it is starting up like normal it would be an issue surrounding the video card.. Cables not plugged in snugly, card not all the way in the slot.. Something along those lines.

everything is pluged in and checked several times.

There are no deeps as I dont have any internal speakers to know.

The only thing I took out is the T.R.U.E. and after putting it back in, everything worked fine.

When I restarted the computer, I can't get my monitor to display anything.

Test the video card in another machine. If it doesn't work, there's your problem.

I know it is extremely annoying, but it works so often. Rebuild it. Start from scratch, take it all apart and put it all together again.

the same thing happened to me when i installed my TRUE120. somehow the mobo was shorted or something like that. the x-shaped metal piece for the TRUE that fits on the backside of the mobo may have grounded it and shorted it, or something to that effect. that's from what i was told anyway. i got a new mobo and it fired right up though. so it could be the mobo.

This problem occurs too often, I should make thread with all the possible ways to possibly treat this.

I tested the CPU and GPU and RAM on my other computer, and all works fine.
So it is down to the Mobo. When I installed the TRUE for the second time, I didnt remove my Mobo, and the backplate could have shorted the board.

One question: Does that mean the board is dead? Or do you think there is a chance that it will work after removing it and rebuild everything?

The only reason reason that I am asking is because if it is dead, I dont want it to take my CPU with it as well.
