It looks like the E8200 is going to be the E6300 of the Yorkfield processors.

and a very nice 3dmark06 score so far as well.

Hope you enjoy so far. im preety sure that 40c isnt to high a load for this at the moment.
and for teh record coretemp dosnt work at all or i would use it.
SWEET voltages! Check out that chip and see it's clock speeds it can get to at max safe volts (1.3625v)

Temp readings problems? In core temp? is it high or low? I just bought a E8400

Doesn't matter what prog you use to get the reading, the chip itself is wrong. (Not ALL, but many.) Just use good judgement. If at stock and it's telling you you're at 75c it's prolly wrong, and vice versa, 12c or something. One core will be like 54c and the other will be 42. Both cores at 100%.

With CPUID Hardware Monitor I seem to be getting a fairly accurate reading of core #1.

Hmm, well, now I'm at 30c idle... I dunno. BIOS tells me my Idle is 37c.

im just basicly running from what the bios says and that matchs up with ageis panel and fa speed.

all i can really do im afraid.this is the reason im going to use 50c as the cut off point unless i get close to 4ghz then ill go for gold ha that would be mad though lol.
but i only have had a jump of 30c to 40c from stock at 2.66 to 3.6 so im happy so far.

Yorkfields are 45nm quads and Wolfdales are 45nm duals. As McStuff said the E8200 is a Wolfdale not a Yorkfield: LINK. It's a perfectly understandable though, the names can be hard to keep strait.
