Compaq Presario SR5130NX

I need network drivers for xp for a Compaq Presario SR5130NX. They come with Vista but my buddy went back to xp and needs drviers.

I looked on the compaq website and they only have vista drivers. Your best bet would be to go to device manager and google the product numbers for what you need drivers for.

I actually just checked and it doesnt have network adapters listed. Doesnt have display adapters listed either.

You could download CPU-Z and see what kind of motherboard it is, then look for network drivers from there. Gl!

or install vista and see what drivers it used then dload the xp version of those drivers (shoulda done this before the reinstall huh)

Well I know what drivers it uses from the compaq site I just dont know what their xp counterparts are.

Just dload the XP equivalent for the chipset manufacturer.

If its a gigabyte chipset then goto their website and dloaad the xp version. For some reason all my onboard LAN ports have been detected just installing XP Pro (original release)

You cant get xp chipset drivers. You can only get drivers for vista. I tried finding the specific drivers for the mic but I cant find out enough info on it.
