Highest you got your 9600 gt core and mem speeds? - Page 2

Don't forget that if you have the option in your bios, bump up the pci-e frequency a bit for a little added core speed boost

Core-775 shaders-1940

3DMark crashes when i push the core to 800mhz. The memory is a work in progress. Shaders can go higher i'm sure, I just haven't bothered yet. Actually I think I'll do that now.. hehe

I got pretty much the same so far:
Core 775
Shaders 1950

3DMark also froze at 800MHz. It happens somewhere in the second scene shot of the firefly test.

Raising the shaders beyond 1950 results in artifacting in ATITool.

3DMark score of 9785. Is that about right?

For me the display driver stops almost immediately.

What about your RAM?

Last week I scored just over 1200 with a slightly milder OC. My currenc OC I'm in the low 1100's. Windows is robbing me somehow.

I am completely stable at 775core, 1900 shaders, 1050 memory.

That sub 10k seems a bit low arkheii, as I'm hitting 12600 on my 3dMark06.

I kept the mems at 900 for that last test. At 775 core, 1950 shaders, and 1080 memory I get 9958 3DMarks. Just a minor improvement, but it raised my fps by about 1-2 in the busiest scenes.

Maybe it's because I can't run the feature and batch size tests since I'm only using 3DMark06 Basic Edition that I'm missing out on a few points. Though I'm pretty sure my X2 is also bottlenecking the gpu.

I'd also like to ask if anyone has tried manually raising their PCI-E frequency while overclocking. Does it yield higher stable overclocks or does it have the same effect as driver overclocking?

Last night I got 781/1946. If I went beyond that 3Dmark crashed. Also if I raised the PCI bus 3Dmark would crash. I had some pics on another thread but for some reason they are deleted.........

The benchmarking that people reference are the same for both Basic and Advanced Editions.

PCI-E bus overclocks directly affect the actual clocking of the card, and can lead to a loss of stability. In my opinion, it's harder and more time consuming to drop into the BIOS and to determine the true result of a bus OC, so I'm leaving mine at 100MHz and doing everything at the card driver level.
