169.32 -- Anyone have issues with HL2 based games?

For some very odd reason, I can't play any HL2 related games. They all are crashing for me. I have absolutely no idea why this is the case, and the only thing I can think of is the drivers. I'm going to try switching driver versions tomm, but in the meantime (about to head to bed), I figured I would throw this out there, in case someone had the answer.

What exactly happens? Load a HL2 based game (CSS or TF2), the game lags on the loading menu. Once in game, shortly freezes resulting in a "program not responding" or a lockup, which needs a ctrl-alt-del to get out of.

I removed my second card -- didn't make a diff. Also my sound card (thought maybe that was it ).

Also I'm running Vista 64. Other games work fine. Please don't say that Vista is the issue, as I've had no issues with it prior to this, and the two games used to work a month or two back.

My friend had the same problem. And im sorry to say but it does sound like it could be vista related. Don't take that to heart, definately try drivers and anything else other people say, but yeah, from my experience, vista64 hates hl2 lol.

Alrite, I just updated to the drivers on nvidia's website; 169.25 and now everything is working flawlessly.

Hmm, no problems with the 169.32 drivers on my end, when playing HL2.
