Same here. Repetitive and simple objectives, only walking or running, simple maps... AND NO IRON SIGHTS.

I speak for everyone who plays counterstrike Professionally.

This will not happen until Valve changes to updated graphics, but keeps the same hitbox and the same, values on guns, with the same glitches as 1.6. As in the AWP fast scope, the quick switch to silence a gun. The whole world who plays 1.6 will not move until something similar but with better graphics comes out.

Like someone already said, people play it because its simple. There aren't a ton of options, its not tactical, and there isn't much to the maps. Just the level, the players, and a bit of cover. It also runs on some of the lowest-end computers.

I would play an update, anyone who plays on a low end system is just poor..

Theres a reason why Source now has more players; 1.6 is dying, and people need to get on with life.

Hitbox error? There is no hitbox error on a good server. Its just an excuse. If you play 33 tic servers, then yes, there isnt going to be any registry, but on a 100 tic server there isnt any "hitbox" errors. What your talking about is latency between the server and clients. That wont be fixed until everyone gets faster internet .

There is no hip firing in CSS.. CSS is about tactics at its core. Play competition, its completely different from going into a random pub. I take it you havent played competitively.

This and the fact that IMHO CSS is the *only* online fps that actually takes "skill." As opposed to other games that I own (Crysis MP, COD4 MP, BF2142, ETQW, TF2) it has no "outside factors" that alter the gameplay - if you know what I mean - and leaves it all to the skill of the player, his ability to point and click accurately, make headshots, switch weapons, noscope, etc. That's why there is so much more of a difference between the best CSS player and the best COD4 player, for instance.

Kinda hard to get my point across, but maybe someone will understand this who has already played CSS for some time.

CS is pure. Its not like COD4/BF2 where you can run and hide in the huge map. Its just you and them, no where to go no where to hide. Only your skill will save you.

That's why i think it is so popular. There is not all this extra crap to "enhance" the experience.

CS is like a UFC fight, while COD4/BF2 are like hide and seek.
