Edit: It looks like the newer version of CPU-Z reads it as X48:
These screenshots are taken from different OCs with the same board and different versions of CPU-Z (X38 read by 1.42 and X48 read by 1.42.3)
Maybe you just got lucky and they accidently put an X48 chipset in it
