I think its brilliant.

No problems at all. I got all the drivers I need prior to upgrading, no hiccups what so ever.

All my software runs fine. I even play DOOM 2 and Commander Keen flawlessly! I think that even Windows XP had more issues with compatibility than Vista. I think MS actually ensured that pretty much anything can run.

I've got 2 extra GB of RAM coming tomorrow, which should set me up for good

Get it! I've been using it since the days of Longhorn and it really improved to become a really nice stable everyday OS.
Don't listen to those mac ads, it's a fine OS, and the UI is nice too
No driver issues for me

Vista is a good OS. the articles only focus on whats bad. i find very few problems with vista.

atm i dont see anything wrong with vista, i quite like it. just games....maybe just the older games dont like vista that much. but its cool, i like it. Youll maybe hear complants here and there. dont let thoes scare u. Turst me itll be worth it and youll like it.

It's the DX10 cards that loose performance in Vista. It should run just as well in Vista as it does in XP. What resolution will you be running?
