You can probably do a better seat than that.. use the line method that is on the Artic silver 5 site.
I did use that method, but as I was screwing the heatsink down it rotated a few degrees so that must have been what did it. Not sure if it's worth a reseat, its a hassle to have to remove the motherboard just to reinstall the heatsink. Also as I'm loading the CPU right now temps are 61-58-61-58

I would think it could be better since I have seen some people with stock can do as great, and you have a Thermalright Ultra 120. Try reseating.

But I guess each CPU does vary at the same time.

edit:
Look at Taidinh's specs. He's only on Stock with AS5.

Well that kinda sucks.

Does room temperature have a big say in this? I don't have an air thermometer but I did take an ear thermometer and held it in the air, it read 77-78F.

Also the G15 feature in Everest is awesome, I just found out about it.

Gotta clean it.

Yes! Ambient temperatures do have a big say. Heat spreads. So if there is something that is 32degrees Celsius and there is something 27degrees Celsius, the 32 degrees will spread heat into the 27degrees increasing up, but at the same time lowering the 32degrees.

And that temperature is normal 77-78. Fans reduce heat basically inside the case, but without the fans and heatsinks, the ambient temperatures will increase the temperature already inside the case. So ambient temperatures are important. Try turning on the air conditioner, you can tell the difference between temperature.

I removed the side panel on my case and I'm getting temps of 55/50/55/50, must be poor air circulation, the stock fans blow almost NO AIR. I bought a single Scythe SY1225SL12H for my intake just to see how it works out, if it blows enough air and is quiet enough I'll buy 4 more.

MCP went from 69 to 62, as well.

Picture to see if anything else can be done to improve circulation.

Ack! I bumped the heatsink while my computer was running and I saw a bright yellow spark from behind it! I made a loud crack to!

Everything seems fine, I hope I didn't break anything.

If there are not enough air circulation, you have to change how the fan is. Your heatsink is probably blocking the air being pulled out. Instead, you can try having a better exhausting fan with very high CFM. Are your top fans blowing out? It should be exhausting out from stock. The bottom fan should be blowing in. 62 is still high for your heatsink, in my opinion especially only at 3GHz. I call for a reseat of the heatsink though. The cosmos sucks because there are no fans in the front, if they had that I would love it even more.

Note* I am trying to get one myself.

I don't think it's the exhaust, the cosmos has 2 fans on top and 1 fan on the back, but only 1 intake fan. If I place my hand on the case there is almost 0 airflow on exhaust, but If I open the case it starts pushing air. I think there is just not enough intake.
