Ocing my Brisbane 4000+ Currently at 2.895 - Page 2

Like I said i'm new, this was the first pretty active thread I came across. Incase you never read fully I said please direct me elsewere if it bothers you guys. In my experience I never get a reply starting my own. I'll give it a try though thanks for the responses.

I just start a new thread in the AMD CPU section right? Sorry i'm a nub when it comes to forums and the rules you guys have

Your next test should be running Orthos on the blend setting at least 4 hours for stability check(Available in the downloads section). I was able to get mine stable to 2.906 for 12 hours, but that was on my GeminII cooler. You are probably way past the safe limits on stock cooling. I wouldn't recommend anything over 2.75 on stock cooler. Also, dr_bowtie has the same processor and has run every combo imaginable for this processor. It seems to be limited to a max of 3.0Ghz. But stability is a longshot after that.

Bucdan, good point. Some say the .5 multi's throw off the ram ratio and some say they don't. To make it easier for myself, I tried to keep it on a whole number.

Hope this helps

Ok i'm really sorry but, I read those charts etc I started my own thread, but apparently it was deleted or hasnt showed up yet. I'm impatient ;x

Basicaly all I want to know is, if I set my ram to run at 667 (default 800)
So when I increase my FSB to 260 it ocs my ram too up to about the 800 it was previously, is that ok and how its done?

I apologise for posting in your thread again.

True...

but it's not limited to 3.0ghz....I got mine to 3.4ghz with heavy tweaking and a little loss in memory bandwidth...

it just takes time learning the board and the ram....ram is the key with brisbanes....they are very ram dependent.

On your 550SE?! If so you have to send me those numbers. I haven't reached 3.0 yet.
