CPU sinks = Not universal. You aint mouting a socket 775 sink on an AMD motherboard any time soon.

Also, depends on your budget. If you aint got much money, try the Freezer 7 Pro. If you do have plenty of dough to spare, took at the TRUE or the Tuniq...

well, i'm not sure which, but i think some might be supplied with universal mounting systems.. So maybe i should retract my first response..

You couldn't use one that was only LGA775 on an Athlon64..

Am i even making any sense here? Maybe i should just shut up and wait for someone else to chime in...

What Processor are you looking to cool? Your Athlon 64 ?

If you want a good cross-platform cooler, go with the Thermalright Ultra Extreme. Many benchmarks put this at the top of the class.

It's $65 there, but you can find it for ~$50.

wel yeah, you may be able to find a T.R.U.E. for ~50. but do not forget you still have to buy 1 or 2 high end high cfm fans. And probably have to lap it too because they usually come with a poor surface.

A tuniq comes with fan and comes with a better surface

Note however, i'm not saying a tuniq is better, i'm saying it's cheaper and easier for a minor difference.
