OC G80 Shader and core ?

Thread Starter
i use g80 (see specs below) with rivatuner and atitool for antiartifacts but my corcern is this:

if i oc my video card with linked shader speeds i end up with 640 core and 1600 shader speed,,,,, but if i dont link the shader speed i dont get any artifact above
740 or more core

soo should i set my core to 700 and my shader to 1500 standart or 1600

or keep 640 core

oh and btw can this card handle around 700 i max out on 743 about if i keep my normal shader, if i do my 700 core with a normal shader my pc freezes

sirous help is much apersiation

I've heard testimony that an increased shader frequency will yield higher performance than an increased core clock. But I can't say for sure that's true.

I would just try to max out everything individually. You may have to test quite a few times, but keep working at it. I'd use ATItool .27 b4 @ "maximum artifact sensitivity" (there's a slider for this option) for stability testing. If you can't run the fuzzy cube test for at least 10 minutes without issues, your card ain't stable.
