That woulda been nice. however considering their target audience was, well, EVERYONE they had to keep it simple. I honestyly think the next Nintendo will be a powerhouse. Now that they've shown what this simple, not-so-powerful system can do, they'll take what they've learned with the Wii and DS and crank it up. Nintendo FTW!

I somewhat agree. Nintendo has set out to bring back something that has unfortunately gotten away from the video game industry for way too long - fun. They've built a system that plays games, and that's it. And that's the way it should be.

Besides, like I always say, the XBox and Playstation play the same kinds of games that I'd rather get on PC anyhow, so the Wii is a perfect choice for me, because it offers a different style of gameplay.

I'd just like to suggest some things for the Wii that I feel would make it better. If any of these things are in the works, an idea of when they will be reality would be great.

1. The ability to delete ANY channels that the user feels not needed (i.e. weather, news, and photo channels)

2. The ability to drag and drop channels into place, for those of use who want to group games by sytem, genre, etc.

3. The ability to use the SD slot to "add" to the internal memory of the Wii. I understand that you can donwload and then save the game and save data on the SD cards, but the games will not show up in the channels when on the SD card.

4. The ability for the Wii to accept more than a 2GB SD card.

5. More than four pages of channels.

Thank you for your time in reading this. If you can get this email to someone who might be interested in making these things happen, I would greatly appreciate it, in addition to many others out there. Thank you for your time.

#2 is solved. A CSR emailed me and said it's done the same way you do the Mii's. Hold A+B and drop them where you want. Kewl.

1 and only needed one: An actual game commitee. Sony and MS have these committees where you pitch your game for their system, nintendo just lets anyone make games, hence WHY MOST OF THEM SUCK.

If you ask me this goes to show that Nintendo has character. Considering the Wii brings a revolutionary way to play, there are many doors that can be opened and by letting anyone feel free to design games for it will only allow those doors to be opened and explored. If a game happens to suck, that's the fault of the programmer/developer and the opinion of the end user. By Nintendo letting game makers have creative freedom just goes to show they give a d@mn.

While playing Super Mario Galaxy last night and wondering what the temperature was outside, I thought of another idea. A sort of widget system a la Mac OS X. Some kind of way to bring up a screen where you can put widgets such as weather, a clock, maybe even a mini web browser for checking GameFAQs for tips when you're mid-game.

Interesting. At least IMO I don't think it'll be horribly popular but an idea none-the-less.

1. Yeah, I can do that
2. I can do that too...
3. Would be helpful, but you could also just get a big SD card and just use that.
4. I know people who have a 4GB card in theirs lol
5. I have more than that.

Maybe you just need to run the software update?

I think the reason they don't allow that is probably because they ran into a problem before and noticed that it could have been used for other purposes, maybe piracy. But saving channels to the sd card and then having the Wii recognize it would be nice instead of having to constantly transfer them.

But i haven't ran into that problem yet, which doesn't mean some people haven't.
