Spore

OK as you can guess from the name and the category your in its a game called spore

many of you may be familiar with what it it some may not so check out its awesomeness HERE and a good demonstration http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8372603330420559198 (personally I advise you watch the demonstration its 36 mins but I loved it.)

Well I first heard about this yesterday and checked out what it was today.

well now I cannot wait for it (damn it coming in September) grrrr

LOL

anyway I was wondering if there is anybody else who really likes the idea of this game.

and also anybody who knows what kind of specs they believe it may require.

I have heard that it is quad core optimized but by the look of it that doesn't really surprise me.

p.s (can somebody show me how to fix the video thing)

I didn't watch it, but if it's the one with Robin Williams playing it, it's funny as hell..

This game has gone into an endless cycle of delays for some reason & I'm tired of waiting

Try the ones on youtube..

grr I've been googleling for system specs and most places just say if you can run sims 2 on max your fine

but it looks so much more complex than sims 2 so I'm not sure if that's right. the other thing is it is possibly about 12 gig in size.

and here is a fan site I found www.xspore.com

Going by current PC gaming trends, I wouldn't expect Spore to recommend anything less than "up to date."

I read about this game in 2003. Thats when they started it, i even watched an interview of the games designer. 5 years and it still isn't out, this is sooo ridiculous.

I don't think the system requirements will be high at all. The graphics don't look that advanced and since its been in development for so long, I don't think it will require a lot of horsepower in order to run it.
