how should I spend 150$?

Thread Starter
I just found out that none of my MSI NX6800GT TT's utility/oc'ing software is compatible with my OS -- XP-64.

My performance with it is pretty good -- 8900 3dmark06. A shload better than my old agp card in my AthlonXP machine.

What do you recommend for under $150. I like benchmarking, use Adobe lightroom, and want to watch movies on my PC. I don't really game except oldschool stuff -- Tropico.

Any recommendations? I have six case fans in my CM690 and have a Gigabyte MA-790X-DS4.

Thanks!

Yeah, here's my latest run in Futuremark. Worse than I remembered, but also after Servicepacks 1 & 2. Not great.

If you're not gaming, keeping your current card is fine...

The very biggest investment into a computer after the cpu is a video card.
Correction ($150.): a used video card.

Get a 9600GT - you should be able to find one for $150.00 or thereabouts relatively soon. Get a sealed used one or something like that.
