Replacement for Striker?

Thread Starter
Hi - I've got a Striker Extreme (v1) (full specs in sig). Its been a fairly stable board for a few months, but something is causing to lock up at random and I'm sick of it. I haven't changed of any of my OC settings, but the lock ups are coming more frequent.

Given all the bad press this board has when used with a quad core and trying to OC – I’m looking to replace it with a new board. I’m planning to just move all my existing parts over to a new board… There needs to be a few requirements for a new board…

1.Plays nice with a Q6600(b3) when overclocked
2.6 internal SATA + 1eSATA
3.1 1394 on the back + 1 1394 onboard (can also be an add-on card)
4.Don’t care about SLI or Crossfire
5.Must take DDR2 (slots for DDR3 would be nice)

The boards I’ve thought might work are –

ASUS Maximus Extreme
ASUS Striker II Formula
Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6
ASUS Maximus Formula
EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1
XFX MB-N780-ISH9

Does anybody have a recommendation given my existing parts list below?

The Abit IX38 Quad GT is a good choice for quads. And I've heard good things about the DFI Lanparty DK X38-T2R. Sick looking board too.
