OCing my 3800+ Getting memory back up.

post #1 of 11
Thread Starter
Currently I have my oc @
306x9 = 2754
HT=4x
Memory = 400mhz divider

That gets me:

The problem is my memory is only at 306, when then default speed of my ram is 333.5 (667mhz)

The only memory dividers i have are
400
533
667

Ive tried a 10x multiplyer which gives me 275 which is even lower, and the pc wont even boot on a 8x muliplyer.

any ideas on how to get my memory back up to atleast 333?

EDIT: I could try giving some more mhz but any ideas other than that?

Thanks but ive already looked at that and the only 2 mulits worth using is 10 and 9 (8 wont boot) and i dont have any higher than 10.

also I just tried increasing my mhz by 5 but windows blue screened so i believe my max is 2.75 since im already on the lowest memory divider which is 400.

Im not really sure what else to do. its so close though!

your ram is running at 306 (X4 htt) which is close to the max of stability I would imagine. Drop your HTT to 3X and your RAM divider to 667 and you will likely be able to raise your FSB...

Edit: also, raise your tRC to 26 for improved stability

dropping the htt to 3x and using the 667 divider wouldnt let me boot

however i took the other suggestion of using the 533 divider and changing the bus speed to 270 and now i have this

everything looks good except the ram is higher than stock. Im not sure if its too high or if its fine the way it is. I also changed the trc to 26 for the stability. does this look ok? if it does ill begin with orthos and see what happens in 24 hours.
