OCZ Reaper or Crucial Ballistix? - Page 2

My ocz ReaperX are good at stock but every time i overclock them even to just 825 or 900 I get errors within 1 minute in memtest....is this normal?

Do NOT buy the OCZ brand. They have a serious quality issue. One customer's MB was on fire because of this Reaper. Don't have to believe me, just go see their RMA returns.

How did you narrow this fire's cause down to the ram and not overvoltage of the VDimm slot, etc?

? Thats not a quality control issue...One example doesn't prove much. And if your saying OCZ is crap because of hat well...wow...

And all companys are going to make a dud here or there.

I would say the Ballistix I have a set of 6400s and they hit 960mhz without problem at 2.2v

u can spot some Ballistix Tracer, i think its still carries double sided D9. I just bought 2 from buy.com, pc 6400 & 8500, both clock well.

I bought some Team D9GMH DDR2 667 from Tankguys for $43? They dont come with any ram heatsinks so I bought separate ones from here. They should be here sometime next week. I hope.
