Umm, no you didn't. You didn't state anything about a cable being "pure." Your post is quoted in my above response.

The irony is overwhelming.

Then you need to slow down your rampage. Dude, if "good-quality" doesn't qualify then you need to use a thesaurus... Clearly if something is impure, it is not of good quality. Therefore, if a material is pure(r) then it would be of higher quality. This is simple logic.

The sad thing is that I said I didn't notice a difference, but I never said it didn't make one. I then went on to claim that this test proves nothing and stated a major reason why, so you are barking up the wrong tree here, which leads me back to my first sentence to you in this post.

In conclusion, don't waste your money on those useless monster cables.

Aside from the the fact that you have a grudge against me, is this post supposed to bother me?

Rampage? This thread is discussing audio cables and I mentioned something that had not been brought up. Since I quoted your post in my response, you immediately got a chip on your shoulder. You never stated anything about purity of the material, so if you'd like to pretend that "good quality" equates to oxygen free copper, then that's your right.

You shouldn't quote yourself as stating something that wasn't ever said. If you're trying to state that it was implied, then that's a different issue entirely and has nothing to do with a thesaurus.

I got a chip on my shoulder because you used a superior tone of voice, whether you meant to or not, so don't blame me for taking it personally.

And I'm sorry that you can't see the simple connection between words and meaning. I'll be sure to spell out every possible meaning of something if I think you'll be involved in the thread so as to avoid your attention in the future.

Don't believe anything you read in regards to audio....listen for yourself. With that said, there IS a difference. I've proved this many times both with video and audio to friends.
I don't feel like reading through the whole thread, but this engadget article is just blog spam. Here is the original post from about 4 years ago.
