hmmm, how is it that you score higher than I do? I am running 771/1940/2200. The only difference is CPU cache, which I wouldn't think would make much of a difference.



edit: this is one reason I am losing faith on 3dmark as an accurate benchmark.

Yes, in fact it's pretty simple to make sure that one takes their CPU out of the equation in a GPU benchmark.

Set your resolution to 2560x1600, turn on AA/AF to 8/16, and run something like the Crysis benchmark.

That should give you an pretty darn good demonstration of a PURE GPU benchmark. I don't care if you have an Athlon XP1800 or a Quad Extreme at 5.0GHz, you are gonna get a score that's determined by your GPU in pretty much all cases.

How much of a bottleneck one's CPU is likely to cause is determined by the resolution and image quality settings on the test you're running, and how CPU-intensive the application in question is *RELATIVE* to the resolution/IQ settings.
