Provided the PSU is of good quality 600W will be plenty for a 9800GX2. I used to run two G80 8800GTS 640MB cards on a Tagan 530W.

i checked 3 reviews on the gx2...most come up with 350w from the wall...thats already the the system draw from the wall..considering the loses...thats only 280w..

so i say that vx450 should be able to run it...you just need some extra connectors/adapters

Yes its just like puting a 4870x2 in a Nforce board It will run fine as a Multi-GPU card just CAN NOT Crossfire or SLI on an Intel board.

A really good 600w is fine just make sure it is good quality and has enough amps on the 12v rail to power the card. I would also make sure it's 80 plus certified so if you game for long periods you know it can maintain the wattage and amps it claims.

Yes a 600 is fine (a good one)

Only thing is if you ever do decide to get an SLI board and go sli you will need to spend more money on a PSU

Thats why its more appropriate to get a high end PSU 850w+ so that you can stick with it for a while.
