9800GX2 wasn't impressive either... Its SLI scores wern't much higher than a Ultra, and if the game doesn't support SLI or needs a driver update to support SLI it actually runs worse than a 8800GTX/ULtra... If you have ever owned SLI you would know that alot of games do not like SLI. So... Until nvidia actaully gets mainstream SLI going and all the SLI drivers fixed so all games will actually run SLI than the 9800GX2 is a flop as well IMHO.

Probably not much if they are all scoring this crappy.

Bottom line guys, If you already own a 8800GTX/Ultra than these cards are pointless... both the 9800GTX and 9800GX2.

Well i think nVidia and Intel are on the same wavelegth. AMD/ATI arnt pumping out much high end competition so nVidia/Intel are easing off the gas. AMD/ATI are producing new products everytime i turn around just not in the uber high end market.

I love how when nvidia comes out with a poorly performing product, half of you act like they are doing it on purpose, lol. Nvidia still wants all the 8800 owners to buy new cards regardless of the competition from ATI.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. When the 2900XT came out many people were out to burn ATI to the ground with torches......even though it was a great performer and overclocker for the money.
Now NVidia releases a way bigger disappointment (using an existing GPU in a new product line) and many are saying they meant to

The sli and gaming issue is not a fault of nvidia's is more the game developers having to compromise on compatibility/performance between ATI and Nvidia different core programming model's and api interfaces, although this is supposed to change with dx10 and the unified shader model/architecture
