Compatability issue: P5N-E sli + E8200

Hello.
I've recently bought the above items, along with everything to build a gaming pc. My problem is that I am getting system hangs and I am unable to work out why. The hangs happen at different times, and under different circumstances. I have currently flashed the bios to 0803, and then reset the bios to default settings. After that, I've disabled the AI Tuning, and set the FSB to 1333, and the memory to 800, unlinked. I ran Prime95 for 6hrs, temps never got above 55deg C. I have had hangs happen 2 mins after switching the pc on. I've had hangs while in the bios, just as it's got to desktop (I'm running XP Pro +SP2, fresh install), even while running 3DMark05. The only way to get out is to hard reset.
I've checked various forums via Google, but I can't find anyone with my particular problem. I'm certain it's one of either the cpu is faulty, OR the cpu and mobo don't like each other!! I'm leaning toward the latter as I used an E2160 from another pc and it ran fine, no hangs at all. But the Asus website says BIOS rev0803 allows the mobo to support a 1333fsb?
Any help, or pointing toward help would be appreciated.

Yes, i've heard of compatibility problems with some of the 45nm CPUs. This board was awesome! Had it for almost a year.

There is a new version of the BIOS though: v0901

Also, I learned a lot about the mobo from THIS THREAD.

Just for info, I gave up on the P5N-E, and bought a P5K Premium. Have already taken my E8200 to 3.66Ghz with an Arctic Freezer Pro at stock voltages. And I've read of some people getting 4.6Ghz with the same cooler. I like this board!!

LoL, I was just about to say to stay away from the Asus mid-range boards.

You'll be happy with the p5k-prm.
