Please Help With "Gears of War"

everytime i try to play a "microsoft games" it appears to have an error

"OUT OF RANGE" and the screen just stay there ....

I Have 8600GT Geforce ( latest version )

1: Tried everything on the webs and still dont work (refresh rate; change resolution...etc... lower ....higher....anything ....)

2: BTW i still have my old CTR monitor and dont wanna buy new one

This isn't news....please be more careful when posting. Update your GPU drivers to the latest. Make sure you uninstall your old ones and reboot then reinstall the new ones. Even if you already have the latest driver still try reinstalling them.

(A mod will most likely move this thread, so don't repost...)

First off, this is an overclocking forum, and though people surely know how to help you, why did you post here in the first place?

Out of range usually means that the application is trying to render the game at a resolution above your monitors capabilities.

right click on the icon shortcut on your desktop to the specific game you want to play, go to properties, and click on the compatibility tab, then check the box next to "Run in 640x480"

not sure how Games for Windows works though, if its anything like steam, you might have to find the games .Exe file in your program files and do the same thing to that instead of the shortcut
