Replaceing office 97

Thread Starter
I could have sworn that after you install office 2007, 97 gets replaced/deleted. I told a friend of mine to install office 2007 and he still has office 97 on it. He tried to delete office 97 in the control panel/add remove, and it says instal cd #1. How do I get through this? He doesnt have the old cd anymore.

When I can't uninstall something, I just delete the folder in Program Files then use CCleaner to delete the program's entry and run Registry Cleaner to remove traces.

And Office 97? Wow, that's over a decade old =P
