fluctuatiing speeds?

looking at CPUz after my OC, my bus speed flies around alot, as does my CPU speed - especially under load

why is this?

It moves around by .5-1mhz

i think thats normal, happens to me too.
just be happy it isn't like my brothers dell-his e6600 jumps from 2.66 to 1.3 and everywhere its crazy.

slight fsb jump is normal, all of the boards do that

as for the others in the thread, your talking about speedstep

my q6600 is running at 1.6, according to cpu-z. i think i turned speedstep on rofl..maybe thats why i was low fps in rainbow six vegas the other day .. poo

when i turn on 100% load to stress it, Vcore drops by .05-.1 V...
