8800gt or 9600gt?

i dunno guys, im really having trouble which card to pick. i love both of them but dont know which ones better. i do plan on buying the evga versions cause of the step-up program. what do u guys suggest. post something and say why. i dont just want one answer."8800 GT FTW" thanks.

the 8800 is a better card by 10-15% proformance

9600GT's preformance is between 8800GS and 8800GT. The lower price for 9600GT is$150 and 8800gt is $185 so it comes down to how to justify extra $35 based on the performance. For me, I would go for 8800GT.

Yep. The 8800 does beat out the 9600gt by a little. Not much though.
I myself went for the 9600gt, and have no complaints what so ever. It's a solid card, that holds it own.
But the cheaper price helped my decision.

I wouldn't do that^
You take the risk of corrupting the data on you HDD.

It overclocks fine with the new Rivatuner.

it depends on the resolution you game at and what version you want to buy. The difference is less than about 20%, so I wouldn't feel bad about buying a 9600gt.
