WINE tweaks for CSS

Does anyone know of any? I'm getting 1/2-2/3 the fps I used to get in windows. If there's any tweaks I can make in WINE, I would appreciate it. I need some way of boosting the fps.

Im not familiar with linux, but that may be your problem....but how do you break fps cap? is stuck on 100 fps, no less or higher. Is there a console command?

have you added any dlloverrides into the libraries tab in the wine config? i am getting roughly the same decrease in FPS, but im still using all the highest settings, anywhere from 70-150 fps.

I just thought of something... Turn off Compiz-Fusion before you run games. If I remember correctly from when I was using Compiz-Fusion way back then, you have to turn it off for games to function properly. Try it and see what happens.

I'll do that next week when I move. I already uninstalled steam and I don't want to have to download css again with 56k lol. So I'll wait till I get my comcast hooked up when I move. I'm getting a second 36gb raptor and putting xp x64 or vista x64 on it this week.

ive used compiz while running css/steam without any problems. but some things work for some people and some things dont, so give it a shot anyway for sure.
