also what do you guys think about xfx? or should I go for eVGA for the step-up???

if you have the $ i say go for the 3870x2. i think these will be better than nvidia's dual gpu's too which will supposedly cost a lot more than $450. and they arent performing to well based on preliminary benchmarks.

xfx would be a safe bet if your looking at their products. id tell you how support was but i havent had a problem with mine yet


:EDIT:

if you did go with evga, they do have that trade up system. i think they like pay u for your old card when u buy a new one from them, basically a discount.
