2hr x 2 drive = $60 for gas plus 5-6 hours you could be working (average hourly wage for a productive member of society is at least $20)

So in the end, it's costing you about $160 or more to go get it (especially if you drive a fuel inefficient car or make more money per hour.), when I believe you can get the student and teacher edition, for about $130 online.

you're decision tho

Well, if you are not scheduled to work anyway, and it is your day off, then why not go! I am sure that no one would take off from work without pay to score 170.00 (ebay price) worth of software.

Because it's not free (that's a hefty gas bill), and 4+ hours of driving is definitely considered "work" .

Don't get me wrong, this is a great deal. But if you live more than an hour away, I think it's kind of a waste, unless the copy of office isn't your only motive.

Intel/Lenovo is doing an event here in the Seattle area, info on the new Centrino line, etc. Its part of there "retail edge" thing which you have to work at a partner retailer like I do in order to participate.

As for the 40" its not goin on my puter, but it will be the new center peice of my home theater system. My old 27" CRT is finally giving up the ghost. So it was time to get a new TV, Decided on a 40" Sony LCD.
