The first three contributors who post will form the initial committee. Some comments have been posted in this thread, and other interested parties can pass their two cents on to this group.

Let's get this going very quickly and have a final shopping list together no later than Friday, May 16.
Sounds like a great idea. I'd be more than happy to help out once the committee has been selected.

we dont need a Canadian supplier, we can buy from American and have it shipped to my shop and I will ship for free to admin.

So lets not limit ourselves to that

Shipping cost really isn't the issue, but customs fees could be. Do you have a way to legally get around that?

here are some suggestions. i'm taking some info from mega's post.
(1)http://www.directcanada.com/products...cture=GIGABYTE
(2)http://www.directcanada.com/products...ufacture=INTEL
(3)http://www.directcanada.com/products...CTIC%20COOLING
(4)http://www.directcanada.com/products...anufacture=OCZ
(5)http://www.directcanada.com/products...anufacture=OCZ

(1) mobo with onboard video = $101.92(unfortunately its not available now)
(2) Q6600 = $218.88
(3) h/s = $21.62
(4) ram = $55.65 (its OCZ, 5-5-5-15, but cheaper, should be sufficeint)
(5) psu = $57.75

total so far = $455.82 without case

if we can get the flash drive and linux up and running, we wont need the following. if we dont get the flash drive up and running we will need the following:

(1) http://www.directcanada.com/products...acture=SEAGATE h/d = $42.00
(2) http://www.directcanada.com/products...nufacture=ASUS dvd rom = $16.85
(3) http://www.directcanada.com/products...ture=MICROSOFT win xp = $93.28

so what do you guys think of this. most of this is from mega's thread. i did some checking, this is actually the cheapest deal. i will look into getting a setup for the linux and flash drive.

side note: if we can get the linux running, we will have to purchase a flash drive also.
