Ok ladies and gentlemen, it's time we get this project up and running. Look's like we should ditch the quad/SMP plan and go for a GPU2 folding setup. Here is what I had in mind. Please give comments/concerns with this build. Please keep in mind that our budget is around $1400.

This is what I have come up with so far. Without knowing exactly when we will purchase, we can't take advantage of sales or MIR's. We should also be fine with the stock H/S, no overclocking should be necessary. I believe that we should go caseless to save funds as well.
If wanted we could throw in a Lian Li mini Mobo tray.

This would be an extra $22.50 + shipping, and we would have to find a Canadian retailer if possible. Personally I would just throw it on a wood tray and call it a day.

The problem is that we don't know if that's the route to take just yet. We have to play the waiting game for a little bit. We are waiting to see it Stanford comes out with a Linux client for the GPU2.
