Choppy res on Ubuntu

1680x1050 is my monitors native res. but it looks choppy on Ubuntu... any ideas why?

have you installed drivers from nvidias website? If you don't want to do that, use envy to install your drivers. envy drivers = less performance in games from my experience, but easier to install.

I would link you to the envy website, but it isn't responding for me atm. Just google it, should be the first one that pops up.

It's MUCH easier to find a program and download and install it through the package manager or add/remove programs than to:

1. Search it on the web
2. Download the source
3. Compile it
4. Find out what lib files you need
5. Compile again
6. Run, hopefully

If you find Envy through your package manager, it should be as easy as search, find, check mark, accept.
