Every quad I've seen on the X38 chipset has maxed out at approx 465 FSB. I thnk it is the limitations of the quad core and the GTL REF votage supplied by the motherboard.

No, he has the P35 DFI Dark... that does 500+ FSB with quads.

Because he's blatantly lying saying he has Tri Sli on an intel chipset with a sound card and 3 x $600 hard drives.

Edit: Unless he can prove proof(pics) in another thread, I will apologize and say I'm stupid.

Well, lets see... it says he is using a Thermaltake video card cooler, which probably doesnt take up 2 slots as the stock cooler does. Think before you post.

I think his comment was aimed at the fact the 555thz's system specs show Tri-SLI NVIDIA cards running in a P5E3 X38 motherboard.

And I meant to include P35 chipsets in my last post. I'll have to hunt around for the 500+ FSB OCs with the Q6600s. I wouldnt mind changing out my current board for one. I dont use more then 1 card anyways.

522 FSB on a Quad.

These boards are very hard to come by though, believe me, I've tried.

Food for thought.
If it is, time to consider what the new gen of Quads will have to offer too.

Kind of hard to say no when Microcenter has walk in only Q6600s for $199.99.
What are chances of getting a SLACR G0 at Microcenter?
