Can I run 1440x900?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, are my system specs below enough to run Counter Strike: Source, Battlefield 2 and similar games on a 19" LCD at 1440x900? How about COD4? I have a friend willing to sell me his monitor for a really good price, but don't want to have to upgrade my system for it. I can just keep my CRT if that is the case.

If the 1950 pro is anything like a 7800gtx then I know you can max out BF2 at that res, at least I did with my 7800.

Yep, you should be good to go. On COD4, however, don't expect to be able to run everything on high.

Thanks, I don't expect to be able to. I was suspecting everything at medium, which is fine by me. I'm not a graphics whore lol!

1440x900 is a low res for a 19" wide. Make sure you're getting a good price if you get this monitor as it's not a high end monitor. The 17" on my lappy runs 1440x900

Hehe. New computer.
Step 1) updates
Step 2) install steam
Step 3) install CSS
Step 4) change resolution
Step 5) Turn HDR Off!!! XD

19" desktop is standard 1440x900.

Laptops are different.

It's just a hi-rez panel, which you can get in a desktop LCD as well. I think all samsung LCDs are hi-rez panels.

**im no monitor buff, so feel free to correct me **

The 1950 is more akin to the 7900GS.
