Weird cold booting issue....

Hi guys, havent posted in a while as lifes been busy, but i have a question....

About 2 months ago, my computer was acting strange. If I let it sit off for more than 1 hour, it would have trouble rebooting. It would fail at posting again and again. I would reset, and try again. Sometimes, it would take 50 tries to even get to the bios. However, once started, it ran perfectly stable... Its also good to note, I had taken off my overclock...

Anyways, I replace my MB and RAM. And the problem disappears for a while. Here it is, 1 month later, and its starting to do it again....

I am stumped....

I dont beleive it could be a PSU, or HDD...

Any ideas?

does everything turn on (ie lights cdrom and stuff) cause if it does i would take a look at your graphics card. Try testing another card to see if it goes away. Once i sent my card in and got it back the problem was gone. So it may be your video card. i had the same problem.

All the lights turn on, but it fails every attempt to post...

It could be the GPU...But why would the problem go away completely after i installed the new MB and CPU? IDK...

Have you tried replacing the motherboard battery? Seems like that would be a very cost effective and quick test...

Replaced the entire MB...

For some reason, the past 2 days it has started fine....

I wouldnt see why it could be the PSU...I dont however have a multimeter to test it. I am very confident in PCP&C's build quality...

My sig build did that, I had a GigaByte P35C-DS3R motherboard, returned that, got a P5K Premium WiFi-AP, paying the difference but since getting this one the problem has gone.

Small update...Today, my clock was reset to 2004, which indicates i beleive the CMOS battery is dead...

Does this help narrow things down?
