No, you have to have a 64bit distro, but 32bit libs installed.

I dont know either...

I right click and extract the files which creates the FAH folder. I then change the directory in the terminal to this directory and then sudo ./fah6 -smp in console to activate it.

I use Fedora so I don't know much about Ubuntu (used to use it, found Fedora, which left Ubuntu in the dust) but what I said should apply.
How is all that easier than using wget? It takes like 10 seconds to do everything in the terminal (minus the actual downloading).

That is so retarded to a degree unmeasurable by any man-made instrument known to man.

Before typing in that entire wget line I could have downloaded the file and activated it. (I type 100+ wpm btw)

Its easier to copy/paste the commands right from the Linux SMP FAQ

It takes more than a few seconds to navigate to the page to download it and click and save it. Copying and Pasting is your friend. Ive done it your way and it took way longer.

I use Fedora at home and at work so it's second nature for some things. But that copy/paste thing is slick.

But don't you have to navigate to the Linux FAQ page to even get that command? Surely you don't have a notepad document on your desktop? (I realize almost no one actaully uses Linux natively)

Ever check out the Linux forum on here? Lots of people use Linux natively, including me. Not necessarily only Linux.
