Skunk, I've had a few people tell me that OCZ RAM isn't that good?

Iced, thanks a lot for the suggestions! The first two are way too expensive for me, but the Ballistix looks fantastic and it'll OC a fair bit, right?
Indeed it will, my Brother got some of that RAM about say.....3 months ago and it has been excellent. He reached 950 easily (no need to take it further) and most people have hit 1000+

Everyone recommends the Ballistix and the HZ's because of their price and they are practically guaranteed to hit 950+ (not all, but most)

The Ballistix are amazing price : performance wise and that is why they are still going strong. Like i said, I'm not sure if they are still D9 IC's so you may have to wait for someone who can answer that for you or start a new thread inquiring about it.

But D9's or not, my brothers were definitely worth the money! And he ought them for like £60 3 months ago. You really have no idea how cheap these things are! I say Ballistix all the way man.

The HZ's, They're well too expensive, I can't get them man...

I'm really liking the look of the Crucial Ballistix RAM, it looks awesome and gets some really good reviews, people say that they have it 1000Mhz.

Iced, thanks for the detailed reply and help man! Without your suggestion, I would never have even looked at the Crucial Ballistix.

Do you think I need to ask if they are the D9's, or would it not make that much of a difference!

Thanks again guys!

Nah, i don't think it makes much of a difference. I had a E6300....in fact my brother has my E6300 with the ballistix and the multi maxes out way before the RAM does (if you want 1:1)

The E6300 is on a x7 multi and my bro's E6300 is at 3.2Ghz

That's only 457FSB. For RAM to run 1:1 on that it would only need 914Mhz

This RAM will reach that with no problems And will go further if you want your RAM to run at a higher ratio.

So no, the IC's don't really matter. But it's the D9's that were reaching 1000+ so if you want that type of OC you may want to make sure they are D9's

But most Ballistix will reach 900-950 whether they are D9's or not, that is if they haven't changed the IC's since 3 months ago

That's awesome, makes it even better to know your brother has an E6300 too, 3.2GHz would be great for me! So, I think I'll order them, Thanks a lot man!
