doesn't have onboard... could the card just be bad? saying if it was good it would give me a picture correct?

Have you tried reseating it, or putting it in a different slot?

sorry, i was to quick to type..

try resetting it. Do you know if it's a good card ?

Also does it need power like high end cards ?

no nothing high end... like i this guy just burned up the mobo and wanted it fixed cheap. Dunno if the vga card is good or not which is why i'm wondering if i just go grab a new one if it will give me a picture to get it setup.

Have you tried reseating it? That's where you take it out, and put it back in. Maybe it was in crooked or something

Also, try a different PCI slot

picked up a cheap vga card from tigerdirect.com and it still wont work. No picture whatsoever. Anyone have clues? I hear the HDD kicking on and loading up along with the cdrom drives but still no picture not even a bios screen

make sure you have connected all your power cords to the mobo. On serveral occasions i've had people ask me the same question. They forget to attach the 12v connector.

there is a 4pin (square connector) and a 20 or 24 pin connecter that needs to be connected to the mobo.

This is the only thing I can think of if you cant even get to the bios.
