don't forget to read Reap3r's guide on tweaking vista.

configuring and utilizing multi-cores and all of your memory definatly helps with the boot time.

I built a system with 2 gig of ram for gaming and installed vista 32.

I then realised to run the likes of hellgate and oblivion on full settings i needed 4 gig so installed another 2 gig.

My problem now comes on realising the ram adressing restrictions on the 32 bit OS.

So after a bit of background my question is can I swap from 32 bit to 64 bit without shelling out full cost for the 64 bit version. The original version installed was a legit 32 bit OEM version.
Since it's an OEM 32 bit, you'll have to buy the 64 bit. The retail ultimate already has 64 included, and if you bought the retail of another version, then you can get the 64bit media from Microsoft for just shipping costs and you can use the same key. But yours is OEM, so that wont work. Same thing happened to me :/
