Just putting the side back on and not screwing it in (holes dont line up with this cooler), adds almost 10 degrees.

im happy with my temps from my ifx-14, usally idles 2 or 3 above ambient and with my 24/7 clock of 3.2ghz on 1.44v (1.37 after vdroop ) the highest i have been able to get my cores was 62c when running orthos in 28c ambient. normal use never gets my cores above 55c even with a high ambient.

Dude the Xigmatek S-1283 kicks some serious butt! I have it in a Cooler Master Centurion (notorious for weak airflow) and keepin my Q6600 below 45 under load!

Really, I have a CM-690 with lots of air, and my Q6600 B3 idles at 45 core0 under Speedfan 1.44 and CoreTemp 97. Now tCase is 25°C at idle, so it may just be 45C at stock voltage/speed under load.

You actually have an IFX-14 in a CM-690? Do you have top fans? Did you fit the IFX-10 underside cooler?

And how did you get an 820 GPU clock? I can only get 720, 730 with a little instability. However, I can hold 2200Mhz on memory and 1890 on the shader all day. With an Arctic Cooling Accelero and 120mm fan, my GPU idles in the mid 30s and is under 42C under full load.
