Switch For UV Cathodes

Thread Starter
I have some uv cathodes coming in the mail, and needed some help regarding switches. Could I use a switch like this
to toggle the lights on and off? What type of modding would need to be done?

Thanks

That would work fine. Check out project red venom (in my sig) i used toggle switches for mine. You simply cut the red wire that gives it power and then twist the wires on to the switch so it controls the flow of electricity to the transformer. good luck!

Shouldnt be too hard, just a straight forward connecting wires
and yes it should work

and if you use a non-lighted switch, it doesnt matter which line you interrupt, power or ground, either will work just fine.

but with a lighted switch, you have to interrupt the power

Can I use on switch for two cathodes? Also, I am a visual learner, does anyone know where I could just find some pictures, or simple walk-throughs?

yes you can run 2 cathodes off a single switch as long as the switch is rated for the amperage draw created by the 2 cathodes

you can either combine the wiring and attach the loads to the same pole or you can get a dual throw switch which basically has 2 "sides"
