ive been useing a copy of CPU-z which im sure i got from the guru site but my AVG has updated this moring and its found a trojan hourse generic9.BHTS virus and of course its found and got rid of but take it this shouldnt be in the cpu-z program but thinking its from a good site doesnt make any diff as thats were got it from but dont they check for these things any more?

will it have done any naughty stuff to my system ive got all the sort of software ua want firewall is zone alarm got scotti dog running all time well as AVG and threatfire and scan with AD-aware eevery few days but havent had anything nasty for a while now but this is a surprise today and wanna be sure i got rid of it and its not lettign any nasty virus writer on to my system to do what ever these WAN***S do to peoples systems???

any 1 got a link to safe overclocking software that they have used for years an no to be 100% safe puls i scan all my downloads but as this must be new it didnt show up so im at a loss to how to find safe stuff now???

why do these dicks do it whata do they get from it(apart from credit card numbers of course)really makes ua wonder why we bother doesnt it!!!

Because they are lonely spotty sad little Cu*#s with nothing better to do than ruin other people's systems. Virus programers are the lowest of the low and the scum of cyber space.

Im sure you will be fine, just make sure you run every virus/spyware tool you got through your system and check all your virus/spyware tools are up to date.

And the guru3d site is pretty good, i have been using it for downloads for years and never had a problem. And i think most people use it for downloading OC'ing tools etc..

yer have been mate gunna tighten up my system today big time and got it so askes me EVERYTIME some program wants to hook up to net so can pick what an when..

just pisses ua off so much that pricks have to do this and give cpu-z a bad name in the process...

so how do ua think they got that inside fo 1 their downloads then do ua think i sould get in contact with the admin to let em no so that other peeps dont have same probs an they might not be so up on thweir pc so might do loads damage unlike did to me?? hopefully i got away with it only had it on my sytem for last few days..so should be ok...so gunan pop over to let their admin no bout it i think just to be safe...thanks for ur reply mate...

It might be worth just sending their admin an email with details and dates which mirror you used etc...

Not sure how they do it but they always manage to get in somewhere, sad little pricks!!!! I hate them, a virus took out my entire OS and i lost all my files including photos of my Son and Mrs and loads of other personal photos and things that i didn't have backed up anywhere, (This is back when i was still running Win ME!!!) so ever since then i am extra careful. Just make sure you always keep backups of important stuff, just in case.

ouch that would piss me off something bad mate.bet u were sick bout that wanna track it back and infect their system see how they liek it...problem is cant remember which mirror an even when i got it off them have tryed to look back thro my history but think it cleans it selfevery few days and had cpu-z over a week now..but have emailed em so see what they say il let ua no what happens if anything does ok thanks for ur help mate.ive googled it but nothing bout this type comes up so must be new and no that some people have trouble getting rid of these types and just wondering if it did really get rid of it AVG said it put it in the vault but um some other people said same an had it wiope em out but that was a differnet type than what i got?? tryed to look up trojan removers but cant find anything on my type which is trojan hourse generic 9 BHTS i thnik?? any1 come across this little bugger before but sure its new as AVG only found it when it updated after system booted this morning
