Thinking about getting the 780i...

Thread Starter
I'm definitely thinking about this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813188024

I am thinking about selling my ABIT IP35 Pro and using the money to buy myself a brand spanking new 780i. Since the motherboard I have right now is great, I am a little hesitant, but all the same I want to go SLI sometime in the future. The IP35 Pro doesn't support that. Just have a few questions...

1) How is overclocking on the 780i chipset? As good/on par with the P35?

2) Cost to performace ratio... is it worth it? $250?

And no, I'm not getting a skulltrail

It's a decent motherboard, but don't expect it to clock anywhere near what a decent p35 will.

I would say its only worth it if you have to go sli, if not, then i would say your great with what you already have.

This is coming from someone who's last setup was a p35 and an 8800gtx.
