Video Card Upgrade for Inspiron Desktop 530

Thread Starter
Can I upgrade to an 8800 GT or GTS with the stock power unit I have in Inspiron Desktop 530?

I have an 8600 GTS in there right now.

Pop open the case and provide the PSU specs. We need to know total output wattage and the current (A) on the +12v rail.

Also, is your motherboard BTX? If so, can it fit a dual slot video card?

Its the quad core, not sure about dual slot, but I think the PSU is 350W.

Is installing a new PSU difficult?

No. You have a BTX case/motherboard, but you can use a regular ATX PSU.
