7600GT vs. 3450

Thread Starter
So basically im getting a free upgrade to either a 7600gt(DDR3) or a 3450 (DDR2), both Passive Coolers. Will this be a big upgrade to the 2400pro i have in right now, i noticed it lags on 720p stuff from tv tuner, when cloning monitors.

My Bad, its a 3450, if it was a 3850, id take it in an instant, its between these $50 dollar cards.

3850 has GDDR3 ram. 7600GT and 3850 are two different generation GPU. 3850 is the way to go.

3850 vs. 7600GT, you also can compare what's difference between 3850 and 2600.

even if it is gddr2 on the 3850 it would murder the 7600gt

3650 would be an upgrade 3450, wouldn't get you anywhere.... The 3850 is definitely an improvement

if you're looking for htpc and not gaming the 3450 would be better than the 7600gt. idk if its worth getting over your 2400 though., but it does offer a newer generation hd playback video accelleration.
