hello iam new to this forum, so id thought id introduce myself! my name is jamie, iam 17 live in england, and like to mess around with, cars, bikes, and pc's! i dont think iam a very good overclocker, as iam still learning most of it, my last system sort of just stopped because i overclocked it naively, but now hopefully, this one will last longer p.s ive just installed a x2 5000+ black edition from my old x2 3800 lol massive improvement!! thanks, jamie.

Jamie, welcome to OCN!

Here are a few links that should be helpful in regards to overclocking:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-general...ing-guide.html
http://icrontic.com/articles/a64_overclocking_theory(my favorite one)

This guide should show you how to find the limits of each component (processor, motherboard and memory). This process should give you a nice baseline to start with and should provide an idea of what each component is capable of in terms of maximum component speed: http://www.overclock.net/faqs/31782-...pu-memory.html

Good luck and let us know if you have anymore questions

jaime, if you wanna learn about cars i'd suggest picking up an r32 nissan skyline since they can be had for extremely cheap over there and have some fun. good luck pouring money into both cars and computers. i've been trying to do it forever now, still hard to manage upgrading both and both are so addicting. lol.

WELCOME TO OCN!! the best OC site on the interwebz
